AS I SLOWLY began to wake, I realized I wasn’t in my bed. I’d had this dream that Morgan and I had fucked last night. It sounds bad, but that’s exactly what it was. There was no love involved, well at least not for her; I could see it. When I stared into her eyes, it was like looking at nothing. Her body was there reacting to me, but her mind wasn’t. She’d turned her emotions off the minute I’d entered her. I watched the light that I used to see daily snuff out as I poured my soul out. I wanted to see something, anything that told me she felt just a sliver of what we used to be, but no. I was greeted with a blank stare. Her body reacted to mine as it used to, but the feelings that I’d longed for were gone.
